Shadi Gholizadeh is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology in the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in San Diego, CA. She is also concurrently pursuing a Master of Public Health degree. Shadi graduated from The London School of Economics and Political Science with an MSc in Social and Cultural Psychology and from Stanford University with a B.A. in Psychology and a Minor in Middle Eastern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. Previously, Shadi conducted research for an international health outcomes consultancy with a focus on Health Related Quality of life (HRQL) and has published research in the areas of rare diseases and patient reported outcomes. Shadi has an interest in body image in chronic illness, adjustment to chronic illness, culturally informed measure development, and web-based health outcomes analyses.
