We are excited to announce that the 21st Bi-annual National Scleroderma Conference (St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, August 29-31, 2024) is now accepting abstract submissions for patient-oriented oral and poster presentations! Abstracts can address any topic in scleroderma research. Topics should be relevant for patients, and abstracts should be oriented to a patient audience.

Submission Deadline: May 24, 2024

Highlights:

Target Audience: People living with scleroderma and other conference attendees.

Review Process: Abstracts will be reviewed by a committee of people with scleroderma.

Travel Awards: $500 for submissions for presentations by trainees, including students, fellows, and residents, or people with scleroderma. A key criterion for award selection is abstract clarity and relevance to patients.

Abstract Guidelines: Submissions must not exceed 400 words and must include the following sub-sections. If results are not available yet, do not include the “What were the results?” sub-section. If a protocol or research design is being submitted, categories should be altered to the future tense. Please focus on clarity, brevity, and relevance to the patient community.
