David Launay, MD, PhD, is the Assistant Coordinator of the National Reference Center for Rare Autoimmune and Systemic Diseases, in the Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Immunology of Lille University Hospital in France. His main research topic is systemic scleroderma, and he leads a dedicated research group within the INSERM (French National Institute of Health and Medical Research) U995 team. His research focus on the links between the immune system and fibrosis, and on the pulmonary manifestations of systemic scleroderma, such as pulmonary hypertension and diffuse infiltrative pneumopathy.
