John Michalski has been a scleroderma caregiver for 18 years. His wife recently passed away from complications of the disease after being diagnosed in 1997. He is currently part of Board of Directors for the Michigan Chapter. During the last 10 years, he has been actively involved in the Walk/Run Fundraiser for Scleroderma at the Detroit Zoo. His goals are to assist with public education about scleroderma, to help other caregivers of current and new patients, and to further research to eliminate this horrible disease.
