The SPIN team would like to offer our gratitude to the Scleroderma Society of Nova Scotia, its board members, and its President, Jason Doucette, for their generous $5,000 contribution to the SPIN-SHARE project.

SPIN is in the process of testing its first online intervention and plans to go on to develop and test many others. The first intervention is scheduled to be available to the public in the summer of 2018. Creating this intervention was an enormous feat, and we are extremely proud of what everybody involved has accomplished. However, when testing is over, we will be entering a new phase with new challenges. SPIN’s goal has always been to give access to the online toolkits it develops to members of the scleroderma community, free of charge. To achieve this, SPIN is creating the SPIN-SHARE foundation, with the purpose of maintaining and providing access to SPIN interventions in the post-research phase.

With the Scleroderma Society of Nova Scotia’s donation, we will be able to work with our development team to incorporate all the participant feedback from the testing of our first intervention prior to its release to the scleroderma community, to ensure that it is as user friendly and accessible as possible. Our research group is extremely moved that our work is resonating with patient organizations, and that the Scleroderma Society of Nova Scotia has committed some of their hard-earned funds to the SPIN-SHARE project.
