The 4th Systemic Sclerosis World Congress in Lisbon, Portugal

by Marie-Eve Carrier | Mar 29, 2016

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 4th Systemic Sclerosis World Congress, which took place from February 18th to 20th, in Lisbon, Portugal. SPIN members presented eight academic posters on a range of topics, including appearance concerns, emotional distress, and exercise habits in scleroderma. We are proud to announce that a SPIN study on measuring self-efficacy in scleroderma won the poster prize for being among the best and most original works presented at the conference!

SPIN will also take part in the upcoming National Patient Education Conference, organized by the US Scleroderma Foundation, which will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, from July 29th to July 31st, 2016. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the disease and connect with others in the community. We hope to see you there!

At the National Patient Conference, we will be filming video testimonies for SPIN’s online toolkits. If you are interested in sharing your experience of coping with the challenges of scleroderma, please email video@spinsclero.com or go to the following webpage for more information: https://www.spinsclero.com/news/2015/05/22/share-your-scleroderma-story
