Benjamin Chaigne, MD-PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Cochin University Hospital, National Referral Center for systemic sclerosis in Paris, France. As a physician-scientist, he primarily cares for patients with systemic sclerosis alongside Prof. Luc Mouthon. He also coordinates both academic and industry-funded clinical trials on systemic sclerosis across France. In the laboratory, his research currently focuses on the mechanisms of fibrosis and dysimmunity in systemic sclerosis, with the aim of better understanding the pathophysiology of the disease and identifying new therapeutic targets.
