Kanika completed her MSc degree in public health from McGill University in 2024, and completed her BSc in Biological Sciences at University of Calgary in 2022. During this time she gained experience working in psychiatric epidemiology and genetic epidemiology as a research assistant in various labs, working with large cohort data and statistical genetics methods. She has vast volunteering experience working with children and adults living with chronic diseases, with the MS Society of Canada, and as a crisis volunteer at Distress Center Calgary. She is passionate about work in the fields of mental health and chronic disease, and hopes to make a positive impact in the field.
