The SPIN team consists of professionals with a wide variety of backgrounds, patient advocates, trainees and support staff. The SPIN professionals are rheumatologists, psychologists, occupational/physical therapists, epidemiologists, bioethicists, biostatisticians and researchers with a wide variety of interests in scleroderma. Another important part of SPIN is a large number of dedicated scleroderma patient advocates, who are key to informing the team on project development. The SPIN trainees are graduate students affiliated with the research centers involved in SPIN. The SPIN support staff coordinates projects at each individual SPIN center. All SPIN members work together, but have more specific responsibilities in their respective smaller project teams and committees.
